Philadelphia thoughts

So i'm on a late night walk home, the day before the scene that will be the world series celebration parade after a week of long work days. I am thinking of philadelphia with the alien mindset I used to have. During a workshop where they mentioned that APA designation of Broad Street (which I just passed, where the parade will be tomorrow, & where the impromptu celebrations were lasr night) as a great street led to a near revolt in the class. There was a 30 min discussion of all of the issues with broad street and all of the streets better fitting the title in Philadelphia. The other streets listed as great streets were all equally problematic e.g. Michigan ave in chicago & monument ave in richmond. Still there was a traditional philadelphia predeliction to analyse the winner as inferior while aknowledging that there are better within and outside the city. I hope, expect, (& also fear) that even while the city revels in its sports glory tomorrow that inherent Philadelphianess shines through to bring the Philadelphian realism to the situation.

I made a jack-o-lantern of a mushroom. So by the way parade tomorrow if anyone is interested.

I'm enjoying a goat mocha right now. It has so much caffeine that my pupils are becoming horizontal.
