Internet Secret Santa

A project to focus on the creative process of giving and
sharing with others - detracting from the consumerism that
fuels the "holiday" seasons.

SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS:

In the "secret santa" style you will not know who is
making a gift for you until you get it..and you wont be making
a gift for the person that is giving you a gift..

A> email me your mailing address gift@aex.org
B> four words to describe yourself
C> whether you are willing to mail internationally
D> how many times you want to participate
E> you get the name/address of the person you will craft a gift for
F> send that person their gift package before Jan 1, 2004

RESULT: You get a gift from another participant, something
they made/created/constructed/etc.. you in turn will give someone
else something of the same nature..



DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS:

Participants should be willing to open themselves up to
giving from the source of their talent as well as sharing
their postal address with organizer in order to be matched
up with a giftee, in turn everyone gets gifted.

This is open to anyone with a postal & email address -
anywhere in the world.

Please pass this on to anyone you think would be interested.

with the following information..

Your name & postal mailing address

Please specify if you do NOT want to participate
with someone internationally - and you will
not be matched up with someone outside your own
country.

Include 4 words to describe yourself & your interests.

How many times you'd like to participate - if you want to
give to 1 person and get from only 1 other, you don't need
to specify.. if for some reason you want to go for it 3 times,
please let me know.. you will be then giving out to 3 people
and getting 3 fold...etc.

Once the database has been propagated with enough
participants - you will receive your to-be-gifted ones
address.

Guidelines:

Please refrain from sending items that you
purchased solely to give, we're aiming for sharing
your talent.. something you made be it cookies..
art.. music..hair pieces..jewelry..clothing.. books..
etc..etc..etc!

All packages must be sent before Jan 1 2004.

The person you will be gifting is not the person
that will be gifting you.

Your giftee will not know who is gifting them until
they have received your package.

Information given will be kept confidential and not
shared with any outside parties for any other purposes;
you may be contacted next year for the same project.

Be kind, if you get someone's address please do your
very best to actually follow through with the gifting,
if for any reason you cannot - please get in touch
so things can be re-arranged.
