old job new

Should I try to get my job back at Delaware County?  There are many not to veiled comments coming from my old co-workers saying that now is the time to go back.  They love my bike plan and they are about to start the interviewing.  I hate the stress here but am worried I'm not giving it enough of a shot if I leave after 3 mos.  It doesn't show much hope for getting better, though.  I need uninformed opinions and advice.
